HTTYD + KFP Colour Story

Throughout the films of How to Train your dragon and Kung fu panda, there are uses of colour in the film so it can convey meanings and creates the environments and sometimes characters of the film.

Kung fu panda

The colour gold that is used in the intro is to symbolise and show the connection of culture and the possible final goal that Po has set for himself.

The colour green that is used throughout the jade temple and hall of warriors are used to show the wisdom that is in both places so that it can be connected to the eastern definitions for each colour.

The colour tinted blue and black is to show there are some trouble and danger about this character and that it can make the audience to assume that the character is dangerous and possibly the villain of it.

How To Train Your Dragon

The warm tinted colour that is used for this scene is for the audience to be aware this is warm and make them feel this is a homecoming with the conversation being serious with the background colour of black.

The green in the background is used to show the environment is natural which is the same as Toothless and Hiccup's friendship which is coming naturally.

The warm tinted colour (and the music played int he background) is to show the romanticness of this scene between Hiccup and Astrix. In a lot of films, the sun in the background is commonly associated with romantic scenes.
